Report by Pat Ringham LRPS |
March print workers produced a splendid effort to finish joint first in
the annual 4-way competition held at Wisbech on Monday night.
Against strong opposition, the club totaled 68.5 points along with
Wisbech - Peterborough just half a point behind and Deeping further back
on 64pts.
Although no-one from the club scored a maximum, Pat Ringham's 'Girl
Power' was given 9.5pts, with Mike North's 'Enter the DRAGAN', Mel
Harris's 'Smugglers Cottage', Richard Hull's 'Steam Power' and Pat
Ringham's 'Cockney Spiv' all awarded 9pts.
Unfortunately, the club fell way behind in the projected image section
and only Allan Howe's 'Swans over Welney' scored well with 9pts.
Peterborough, who won the silverware for the sixth year running,
finished top in the digital images with 70 points, Deeping 66, Wisbech
63 and March 59
